Since its foundation in 1972 in a small workshop in the village of Cunardo, IMF quickly became an integral parts of the socio-economic fabric of the area.

Although IMF's continual growth has required a move to a larger site, Gabriele Galante has always considered it his personal mission not to move away from the Varese valley region.

In 2005 120 employees work in the Luino plant contribution during this period has not only been economic but also cultural and in the field of career development.
